Wish List & Stuffs

Mummy had a list (special thanks to Mummy's colleague Cindy) of things to get prior to my birth, here is the list to those who are asking.

• Cotton balls (soak in cooled BOILED water & clean baby’s eyes). Use separate cotton ball for each eye.
• Cotton pads or small thin face towel for cleaning mouth & tongue (also soak in cooled BOILED water)
• Small face towels
• Bath tub (inflatable ones softer and more comfy than plastic ones) & short stool
• Bath towels
• Baby bath
• Baby lotion
• Drapolene nappy rash cream OR Desitin Creamy (available only thru’ GP) Apply after every bath to prevent nappy rash & treat if there’s any.
• Ru Yi Oil for tummy (Drop a few drops into palm and rub hands together then place your hand on baby’s tummy AND lower back directly behind tummy)
• Cotton buds (Pigeon) for cleaning ears (outside only)
• Cotton roll ( just pinch how much u want & soak in a small tub of warm water & clean backside when poo poo)
• Sterile swabs to clean umbilical cord
• Nail clipper
• Pacifier & pacifier holder
• Bibs
• Wrap cotton short sleeve (day)
• Button short sleeve (day)
• Long sleeved top (night)
• Long pants (night)
• Baby cap
• Mittens & booties
• Diapers – Pet Pet for day & Mamy Poko for night.
• Cloth nappies (for wearing as well as to line baby cot, changing table….)
• Nappy liners
• Diaper wrap (so u dun hv to use safety pins)
• Rubber mat (pink & blue) to prevent urine leak on mattress. (Place a cloth nappy over rubber sheet so baby more comfy)
• Baby cot OR Playpen ( no pillows, bolsters to prevent suffocation)
• Changing table
• Baby bouncer (netted one from Kiddy Palace abt $30 comes in pink and blue)
• Small milk bottles (big ones later) (Avent, nuk, pigeon…….)
• Teats - Avent variable flow teats (I (slow), II ( medium), III (fast) flow in a single teat)
• Sterilizer (bottles & sterilizer must be of same brand or else bottles can’t fit into the sterilizer)
• Brush for washing bottles
• Pigeon detergent for washing baby bottles & toys (Optional)
• Kodomo Laundry detergent and softener (wash baby clothes separately from other clothes)
• Breast pump if breastfeeding (Avent for manual pump OR Mendela for electric pump)
• Long metal spoon (for stirring milk instead of shaking bottle to minimize colic)
• Gripe water (drop half teaspoon into warm plain water to drink after bath)
• Formula milk (Similac, Enfapro, Friso….)
• Pigeon wet baby wipes
• Ziploc bags to put bottles, dirty towels……
• Vacuum flask for hot water for milk (Thermos brand…)
• Milk container with compartments
• Stroller / baby sling

Wondercup!

This is something interesting I found while scanvaging around, now I know what gift to get daddy for father's day.

Australian fashion house AussieBum has created the Wondercup. The Wondercup is the men’s equivalent of a Wonderbra, which means padded underwear to make you appear like more of a man. AussieBum founder Sean Ashby stated, “This design uses all of the natural assets of the person, whether they be big, small or indifferent. It basically lifts, separates and extends.”

Last November, we featured the AussieBum Wonderjock, a range of men’s swimwear designed to “lift and promote” - even when the water is chilly - has been unveiled in Australia.

Local lads label aussieBum has already sold more than 250,000 pairs of its Wonderjock underwear - which features a special posing pouch - and is expecting even bigger things from its swimmers.

“Size really does matter to the modern man, and I think swimwear is where this technology is really needed,’’ aussieBum founder Sean Ashby explained.

“When you walk out of cold water, everything gets sucked up into no- man’sland. This makes the most of what’s still there.’’

Wonderjocks became available on aussieBum’s website only last week, but more than 2000 pairs a day are already being sold - at AUD$32.95 each.

“The Wonderjock was originally done as a bit of a joke after someone said to us, ‘Could you do something that makes me look a bit larger?’ but it just took off,’’ Mr Ashby said.

“Basically, the Wonderjock does for men what the Wonderbra does for women: it lifts and promotes.’’

Wonderjock underwear has been an international success story since its launch in November last year and has been snapped up by stars including Ewan McGregor.

“We found out Ewan was buying them only because he made such a huge order and we had to do a credit check,’’ Mr Ashby said.
